Should You give camel milk for autism treatment?

The use of camel milk as a treatment for autism spectrum disorder is a topic of interest and ongoing research, but scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness is currently limited. Some anecdotal reports and small-scale studies have suggested potential benefits of camel milk for individuals with autism, including improvements in behaviour, communication, gastrointestinal symptoms, food allergies and overall well-being. [1],[2],[3]

Proponents of camel milk believe that it may contain certain bioactive components, such as immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, and peptides, which could have therapeutic effects on the brain and gut.

More rigorous scientific research, including well-designed clinical trials with larger sample sizes and standardized outcome measures, is needed to better understand the potential benefits and safety of camel milk for individuals with autism.

While camel milk is generally considered safe for consumption, it’s important to consider potential risks, such as allergies or adverse reactions, and to approach new treatments with caution. It is also important to remember that camel milk does contain casein, so if you are considering a GFCF diet, then you can’t give camel milk.
